Primo Forti is the artistic project of Milan-born composer and pianist Sergio Ferraresi. A lifelong musician, he began playing the piano as a child and started composing his own music at the age of fourteen, discovering early on a passion for melody, harmony, and musical storytelling.

His first influences came from the progressive and symphonic rock world, particularly Electric Light Orchestra, The Alan Parsons Project, and Jethro Tull. By the age of seventeen, he had immersed himself in classical music, an influence that would become the foundation of his compositional language.

Working exclusively with original material, Primo Forti creates instrumental music that blends the expressive depth of classical tradition with the accessibility and emotional immediacy of modern music. His style can be described as neoclassical or contemporary classical, characterized by lyrical melodies, rich harmonic development, and carefully crafted musical structures.

In addition to composing for solo piano, he writes for chamber ensembles including trios, quartets, and quintets. His music seeks to create an emotional connection with listeners through elegant melodies, evocative harmonies, and a balance between classical sophistication and contemporary sensibility.

Based in Milan, Primo Forti continues to explore the possibilities of instrumental composition, building a distinctive musical voice that bridges the worlds of classical and modern music.
